Sustainability
Continuous Optimization
At DanePork, we are committed to achieving carbon neutrality and continuously improving our sustainability efforts year after year.
We aim to foster sustainable food production while ensuring that our employees are in a safe work environment, with ample opportunities for personal development and job diversification.

Utilizing the Entire Pig
Before enjoying your Sunday roast, it may be reassuring to know that over the years, we have continuously optimized our meat production to achieve an ever-increasing level of sustainability, minimizing food waste and unnecessary resource consumption.
Our pork production generates no food waste. The majority of the pig is used for food products, with by-products utilized in pet food, and the remaining residues converted into biogas.
In everything we do, we emphasize a short, high-quality, and sustainable journey from "farm to fork."
Resource Optimization
As we continuously refine our production processes and consumption patterns, our efforts to optimize and reduce resource usage will remain ongoing. Just as we utilize every part of the pig to prevent waste, we assess our production methods and machinery to identify opportunities to minimize our environmental impact.
This includes, but is not limited to, the following initiatives:
- Reducing water consumption
- Operating our business with the utmost consideration for the surrounding environment
- Decreasing the use of environmentally harmful electricity and gas
- Minimizing noise and odor disturbances in the environment
- Reducing the discharge of organic substances and chemicals in wastewater
- Optimizing internal wastewater treatment processes and pre-treatment plants
- Sending offal to biogas plants for use as mink feed or for reprocessing into biofuel
- Using environmentally friendly detergents and disinfectants
